We were a party of 7 for Sunday lunch chosen because of good reviews. Most of our meals were cold ( would be better if served on warmed plates). They werent much hotter after being taken back to the kitchen. Two of our desserts were served with cold custard and these also had to be warmed through.The service was very slow ( 2 and three quarter hours for two courses).Towards the end of our meal, we noticed a female member of staff stood at the back of the dining room drying cutlery with a filthy looking tea towel which I wouldnt dry my kitchen floor with.All in all, it was disastrous and we wont be going back.
Great pub/restaurant. Turned up as a group of 19 to celebrate a Golden Wedding. Meals were hot, with good portion sizes. The desserts were also a good size, especially the cheesecakes. Piled high with cream, vodka jelly, fruit and ice cream. There was even a celebratory shot of frozen vodka for the happy couple. Would definitely recommend this place.
